• Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours. Antelope Canyon Navajo Tours provides one-of-a-kind tours of beautiful Upper Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon is made up of two magnificent slot canyons that lie on land belonging to the Navajo Nation, and is a sacred site of the Navajo People as well as a Navajo Tribal Park that can be accessed by permit only.
• Upper Antelope Canyon is an above-ground slot canyon. It’s an easy, flat 100 yard walk, following a 2-mile off-road ride from the Navajo Tribal Park Gate on US98 to the canyon’s entrance. Upper Antelope Canyon is also where you can catch those world-famous sunbeams between the spring and fall months, but only during peak time tours.
• To start off, Antelope Canyon is long, it actually goes on for miles. The famous pictures come from two sections, Upper Antelope Canyon and Lower Antelope Canyon. Both of these sections are on Navajo lands and require tours with a Navajo guide. You can also access part of antelope canyon from Lake Powell, which we did on a kayak tour.

The most famous slot canyons near Page are definitely Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, but these aren't the only slot canyons in the area. Buckskin Gulch, Waterholes Canyon, Zebra Canyon, Peek-a-Boo Canyon and the Zion Narrows (part of the Grand Circle) are quite popular among the self-guiding, canyoneering community. If you aren't an experienced enough to take on a slot canyon on your own safely, that doesn't mean Antelope Canyon is your only choice.

A few lesser known slot canyons have opened up to the public over the years, that is, with the permitted access of a tour guide company. Most of these slot canyons are on Navajo land and are a very important part of their culture and heritage. It's a priviledge that these canyons are being shared with us. Some of these other slot canyons are Cardiac Canyon, Secret Canyon, Rams Head, Ligai Si Anii and Wind Pebble Canyons. Most of these tours, if not all, are operated by Navajo tour companies and require paying an $8 Navajo Permit Fee in addition to the tour package price. Going on one of these slot canyon tours is a fantastic way to avoid the crowds and have a more relaxed experience in these truly magnificant canyons.

ABOUT THE CANYON:

Secret Antelope Canyon is a secret canyon in Arizona that’s part of the Antelope Canyon system and is still an undiscovered gem with group sizes that are limited to just a fraction of Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons. It is just as spectacular and photogenic but without the crowds.

AN ADVENTURE:

On our antelope slot canyon tours, we take you on a private off-road 4x4 drive for 6 miles (approximately 30 minutes) meandering through the desert, rolling hills and wash-beds. During the drive, we may see coyotes, foxes, bobcats, owls, hawks and other desert wildlife!

EASY ON THE FEET!

After the adventure ride through primitive Navajo lands, you will arrive at the slot canyon trailhead. The trail is an easy flat 300-meter walk through serene sagebrush surrounded by towering sandstone walls which will lead you to the mouth of the slot canyon. Our expert tour guide will assist you to enjoy this opportunity as you learn about our home area!
